All that is needed to start is a pair of flat soled shoes.

The club does have a limited selection of flat soled shoes but it is better to bring your own, including plimsolls.

Everything else, including tuition and coaching will be provided.

The club has a selection of woods of different sizes and weights to enable you to choose which suits you best.

You may use these for both outdoor and indoor games for the first season, after which you will be expected to buy your own woods.

There is a dress code for playing in matches, details of which we will supply.

David says “This welcoming and sociable club was established in 1996 and, as well as club competitions, also plays over 30 matches a year – 13 ‘friendlies’ and 18 league matches against clubs in the Tarmac League.

Our new all weather surface in Wellington is easy to bowl on and limits the amount of maintenance needed. It makes playing possible in most weather conditions. Tuition and coaching is provided for new members and we have a supply of woods in different sizes and weights so you can choose what suits you best.

An integral part of bowls is the after-match teas and each playing member will either provide sandwiches, cakes, scones or savouries depending on the time of the match – we have a reputation for providing the best bowls teas in Herefordshire!

From time to time during the year we organise social events, open to everyone, to help raise Club funds”.

FIXTURE CARD: The website contains details of all the fixtures for the year.

A fixture card for the season will be provided upon payment of subs at the Pre Season Meeting..
