Wellington Charities is the collective term for three separate charities which are on the Charities Commission register.
Charities of Nott, Perrott & Others – Management of the five almshouses on the A49 providing accommodation for Parishioners and those with a connection with Wellington who might not otherwise be able to afford and maintain their own home. Charity No. 218041
Education Foundation of Nott & Perrott – Provision of grants to local young people (up to 25 years) living in Wellington parish for educational expenses of many kinds. Charity No. 507038
Wellington Relief in Need Charity – Providing financial assistance for Parishioners of Wellington who are deemed to be in need. Charity No. 504112
Funds are distributed to support Wellington residents and those with a connection with Wellington. If you would like to enquire about any of the charities, please make contact with the Clerk to the Trustees, through clerk@wellingtoncharity.org.uk
This would include enquiries as to availability of almshouses (though vacancies are well advertised); applications for the Education Foundation (not means tested; applications welcome year-round), and for consideration for relief in need in which case a trustee will be back in touch to see what help can be given.
If you are ready to make an application to the Education Foundation and are applying for a child or young person under 25 years old (this could be yourself), please download the application form (available here in two versions), and send the completed form to the Clerk to the Trustees.
